Prodromos Tsinikoris works as a director, dramaturg and performer in Αthens.
Born in 1981 in Wuppertal to Greek immigrant parents, he moved to Thessaloniki in 1999, where he graduated from the Drama Department of the Aristotle University. In 2009 he moved to Αthens, where he worked, among others, a.o. as an actor with director Dimiter Gotscheff (Messenger in The Persians, National Theatre of Greece) and as assistant director and researcher with Rimini Protokoll (Prometheus in Αthens, Αthens & Epidaurus Festival, 2010). Together with Anestis Azas, he wrote and staged many reality theatre projects: Journey by Train (Αthens & Epidaurus Festival, 2011), Epidaurus: A Documentary (Αthens & Epidaurus Festival, 2012), Telemachos: Should I Stay or Should I Go? (Ballhaus Naunynstrasse, Berlin, and Onassis Stegi, Αthens, 2013), Utopia in Progress (Youth Theatre Constance, Germany, and National Theatre of Northern Greece, 2014), Geblieben um zu gehen (Maxim Gorki Theatre, Berlin, 2015), Clean City (Onassis Stegi and Münchner Kammerspiele, 2016) and Hellas München (Münchner Kammerspiele, 2018).
Since October 2015, with Anestis Azas they have been the artistic directors of the Experimental Stage -1 of the National Theatre of Greece, Αthens.
